You probably want to set up your Calendesk account quickly and effectively so that your customers can start using your booking system as soon as possible.

However, sometimes, even after you have configured your services and added availability schedules, the service may not appear on the calendar, or the availability hours may not be displayed correctly.

In this article, we will guide you through the steps needed to properly configure the availability schedule for your service or employee.

The time zone settings in the Calendesk panel

All employees who provide services using the Calendesk booking system have to share their schedules based on the same time zone selected in the Settings – Platform tab. Currently, it is not possible for employees to create availability schedules in different time zones than the main Calendesk account.

Customers can freely book services while being in different time zones, thanks to the option of selecting the time zone in the customer’s calendar. If you provide online services, it’s worth offering customers the option to choose their time zone.

We advise against offering the option to choose a time zone in the customer’s calendar for services provided in person, as this can lead to inconsistencies that may prevent the service from being performed.

To give customers the option to choose their time zone, go to the settings of the website template and uncheck the “Hide the time zone selection” option in the “General” tab.

Employee account settings

Make sure that when creating an employee account, the option “This employee can accept bookings from online booking calendars” is checked:

If the services have already been created and configured, make sure that the appropriate services are assigned to the employee’s profile. If services have not been created yet, you can come back to this point after creating them.
