In the article “Settings – notifications”, we introduced the process of setting up automatic e-mail, SMS and push notifications. These were notifications sent by the Calendesk system automatically, each time certain conditions were met.
In this article, you will learn how to manually send notifications when you want to share something with your customers/newsletter subscribers.
The search engine allows you to search the entire history of sent notifications. You can search using words in the title or in the body of the notification.
Information from the table
In the table in the “Customers – notifications” tab, you can read the following information:
There are two types of recipients: newsletter and customer. Thanks to these labels, you know if a notification has been sent from the newsletter or from the “Customers – list of customers” tab. When you click on an item, you will see all email addresses, registration numbers (for push notifications), and phone numbers of the people you sent messages to. Registration numbers are the customers’ numbers that are permanently assigned to them. You can see which numbers have been assigned to customers in the “Customers – list of customers” tab.
Type of notifications
There are three types of notifications in our panel:
- e-mail – can be sent to any subscriber/customer,
- SMS – can be sent to any customer who has given a phone number in the customer panel,
- push – can only be sent to customers who are using a mobile application for customers.
When you click on the selected record from the table, you will be presented with a window showing the information related to that notification. Here you will see the following information:
- the number of recipients of the message,
- data indicating the recipient (e-mail address/contact number/registration number),
- type of message,
- message title,
- message content.
If you are using variables for the body of a message, the preview will show only the variable name, but not what is substituted for the variable.
